Pastors and Missionaries often need an affordable place away from the demands of their ministry where they can rest and relax. The beautiful facilities and serenity of our natural surroundings, combined with the absence of telephones, televisions or schedules makes Fairhaven the ideal place for a get-away. Individuals, couples and families can all enjoy a personal retreat at Fairhaven.

Fairhaven Ministries'100-acre valley is surrounded by National Forests. Roaring Creek tumbles its way over multiple cascades on its way through Fairhaven's campus. Several bridges and trails have been made for you to enjoy the natural beauty of this place. In season, wildflowers are abundant in the valley.

In addition to the serenity and beauty that God has created at Fairhaven, the surrounding area is one of the most beautiful in the country. Within easy driving distance of Fairhaven, you can find activities to suit everyone's taste. Hiking the Appalachian Trail and viewing the world famous Rhododendron Gardens on Roan Mountain are popular with our guests. Antique shopping, sightseeing on the Blue Ridge parkway, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, swimming and boating on nearby Lake Watauga are but a few of the activities that you may enjoy. In our lodge, you will find current information on tourist activities and dinning available in the area.

Fifteen lovely chalets and cottages are nestled in our secluded valley. Along with a spacious lodge, and staff housing, they make up our friendly village to provide a mountain welcome for our guests. The chalets and cottages are tastefully furnished. Each has a gracious living area, a complete kitchen, a full bath-shower combination, a queen-sized bed in the bedroom and two twin beds in the sleeping loft. The queen-size sleeper-sofa in the living room makes it possible for the chalets and cottages to sleep up to six people.

All linens are furnished. The kitchens are fully equipped because we do not provide meal service. You will need to bring your food and personal items. Supermarkets are located just a few miles from Fairhaven.

A lovely gift shop in the lodge makes for interesting browsing. Many hand-crafted items and Christian books are available. There is a library in the lodge as well as a one hundred book library in each chalet and cottage.

We are pleased to announce that our sister organization FAIRHAVEN MINISTRIES of CANADA is now established and growing in the beautiful Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, Canada. The campus is readily accessible in less than a day's drive from Vancouver, BC as well as the Seattle, Washington area.
